Died at age 81, at a Morrilton, AR, hospital.

On the 1880 Perry Co census, Floyd was listed as age one. His mother died in May.

1884 and his father remarried when Floyd was almost 6 years old. On the 1900 Perry Co census, Floyd S, age 21 and single, was living with his father and stepmother in Casa township. In 1910 he was listed as "Vester", age 31 living in his father's home.

From PERRY COUNTY NEWS, 05 Feb 1942, South View: Reports are that Lee Rainey is moving into this community on the Wess McGhee farm and Mr McGhee is going to California to live. P.C.N., April 1944, Casa: r F.S.McGhee, who has been working at Big Ben, CA for past two years has returned home.
