Hi Ian:
I found your tree on the Internet and was quite impressed with your research and wonderful presentation.
And……………Looks we are quasi related.
From what I understand from reading your family history information, you are a direct descendant of Abraham WORFOLK. I am a direct descendant of his second wife Alice EYRE, widow of Thomas WRIGGLESWORTH. So, there would be no blood line connection, but I believe at least some of the WORFOLK and WRIGGLESWORTH children likely grew up together.
My great-great-great grandmother Hannah WRIGGLESWORTH was born 1789 in Oulton, West Yorkshire. Her parents were Thomas WRIGGLESWORTH, born 1761 in Oulton, died 1802 in Oulton and his wife Alice EYRE, born 1766 in Kippax, Ledsham, Yorkshire, died 1838 in Wakefield. They married in 1782 in Ledsham, Yorkshire.
After Alice’s husband Thomas WRIGGLESWORTH died in 1802, she was left as a widow with 7 children, some of them were very young.
Alice subsequently married Abraham WORFOLK in 1809. His children from his first marriage to Priscilla were about the same age range as some of the WRIGGLESWORTH children, so as I mentioned as step siblings they would have grown up together.
Would be great to connect with you further.
Cheers from Marina Canada
