Hello, I'm Jane Rodgers, nee Hewitt and I came across Elizabeth Johnston Brown listed on your tree as being married to William White whom you have listed as dying before 1936. William was my great great uncle and I thought you might like to know that he was with the Gordon Highlanders during World War I and was killed on 26 September 1917 at Zonnebeke, Belgium. He is memorialized on a wall at Tyne Cot Cemetery in Zonnebeke. As you may know, when someone was memorialized, they don't have a grave and it's most likely they never found him to be able to bury him. So very sad, isn't it? I was happy to see the information you had listed as to his daughter's marriage and it looks like his wife remarried. William's sister Margaret was my great grandmother. I live in North Carolina in the United States, but still have some family in Scotland and England, as well as a few other countries. I hope you're staying safe, Jane
